Rice Vermicelli Upma
Ingredients
- ½ cup rice vermicelli
- ½ teaspoon oil
- 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds
- 2 curry leaves, chopped
- ⅛ pinch of asafoetida
- ½ medium tomato, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
Age Group: 8 -10 months

- 1 Dry-roast the rice vermicelli in a non-stick pan till brown. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
- 2 Heat the oil in the same pan. Add the white sesame seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida, mix well.
- 3 Add the tomato and sauté for half a minute. Cook for two to three minutes.
- 4 Add the salt and roasted rice vermicelli and mix well. Add one cup of hot water. Mix well, cover and cook till the vermicelli is done. Serve.
