Banana and Apple Porridge

Ingredients

  • 1 elaichi banana, peeled and finely chopped
  • ¼ cup peeled and finely chopped apple
  • 2 tablespoons semolina (suji)
  • 2 tablespoons grated jaggery (gur)
  • A pinch green cardamom powder
  • A few saffron strands, dissolved in warm water

Age Group: 8 -10 months

Banana and Apple Porridge
  • 1Dry roast semolina in a non-stick pan till lightly browned. Add apple and banana and mix well.
  • 2Add jaggery and 1½ cups water, mix well and cook till the apple turns soft.
  • 3Add cardamom powder and saffron, mix well and cook for a minute.
  • 4Serve warm.
